ABOUT
I take pride in being a premiere private tutor for math and other subjects. I invest a lot of time into each student to help them engender confidence with learning and an appreciation for scholarship.
BACKGROUND
I have worked with students since helping friends with calculus at Benicia High School. I was the in-house tutor for students in economics at my alma mater Cal Poly, SLO during my senior year. That year I also scored a perfect score on the math portion of the GRE. After college I tutored math at UC Davis while enrolled in their Economics PhD program. I continued helping students the following year while working in Washington, D.C. I have also taught math and history in Houston, TX as well as having worked in the San Juan Unified School District in Sacramento.
PHILOSOPHY
Each student has their own path to success and to enriching their lives with learning. I specialize in respecting each student's journey and catering instruction and content to make learning seamless and engaging. My focus is to develop impressive students who enjoy learning and ideas for their own sake.
Civilization is not inherited; it has to be learned and earned by each generation anew; if the transmission should be interrupted for one century, civilization would die, and we should be savages again.
